About

Hi, I’m Aakhansha.

I know that reaching out for therapy can take courage, and if you’re here, it probably means a part of you is ready for something to feel different to make sense of what’s been heavy, or to simply feel a bit more like yourself again. I work with children, teens, and adults who find themselves navigating anxiety, self-doubt, grief, trauma, or big life transitions. Many of the people I support are learning to manage ADHD or emotional ups and downs, strengthen their sense of self-worth, or find steadiness after change or loss.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with 7+ years of experience, and my intention is to offer a space that feels gentle, safe, and human where you don’t have to have it all figured out to begin.

In our work together, I focus on meeting you exactly where you are. My approach is collaborative and grounded, a mix of genuine conversation, reflection, and practical tools. I draw from Gestalt therapy, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, blending structure with flexibility so our work fits your unique needs. I bring curiosity, compassion, and a bit of lightness into the room, because I believe healing can hold moments of both depth and ease. My hope is that through our sessions, you can reconnect with your inner strength, build emotional awareness, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and authentically yours.

If you find peace in nature or feel more comfortable outside of a traditional therapy office, walk and talk therapy might be for you. This gentle, nature-based approach combines movement and mindfulness — allowing conversations to flow naturally while we walk at an easy pace outdoors. It’s particularly helpful for processing anxiety, burnout, and emotional overwhelm, or simply reconnecting with your body and surroundings in a grounding way.

🧸 Child & Youth Therapy

Children and teens often feel big emotions that can be hard to express. I create a warm, supportive space where they can explore their inner world safely. Using creative tools like art, storytelling, and sandtray therapy, I help young clients build emotional awareness, confidence, and resilience.
Whether it’s managing anxiety, social stress, grief, or school-related pressure, I work collaboratively with children and families to help them feel seen, understood, and supported.
